Human skin consists of three layers: the hypodermis with fat cells, the dermis with sweat glands and blood vessels, and the epidermis, the actual protective layer.

This slightly acidic environment is especially important for sensitive baby skin, as it neutralizes alkaline substances (e.g. urine) that constantly come into contact with the skin as a result of wearing diapers. Edelweiss has active ingredients especially suitable for the sensitive and delicate baby skin. These reduce the number of infectious germs on the skin and can thus ward off and fight infection.
